Kokokan Village is a place in Ubud-Bali offering natural attraction by the birds that live on the trees. The birds are called ‘kokokan’ in Bali and in English are called ‘egrets’ or ‘bitterns’ or ‘The White Heron Birds’.
The best time to visit this village is around 5 – 6 pm at local time, to see them flying back to their nests on the trees after in the day flying out over the island, the villagers provides some places as view points for visitor to see the birds activities. They provide a book about The Village History and also you can buy soft drink from them.
The villager believes that the white heron birds are bringing joy to them and they live together in harmony.

New Teba House Deluxe rooms under construction has completed already. It took a year to finish the rooms. The construction itself was begun on March 2008. After a year processing, the two new rooms finally finish this year (2009).
Teba House Deluxe Rooms are fully decorated with Balinese style architecture, hope guest can feel the Bali atmosphere while they are staying at Teba House Ubud Bali.

Three floor building with two rooms, upper floor has the rice field view from a cross road and view of a resort can be seen as well. The room on level one has garden view can be seen from the room. The two new Teba House Deluxe Rooms are completed with private bath room, western toilet, Hot and Cold Shower and Bath Tub.
The room has enough space to make guest stay more comfortable. Simple teak wood furniture is used to decorate the room.
According to Hindu Bali Tradition, after accomplish a building we need to execute it by following certain ceremony. It is called “Mecaru”, this is one of the Balinese Ritual thanking the God for all the blessing. “Mecaru” is; time to payback (tawur) because we not just take but we also give. The balance between it, creating a harmony in our life.

Penjor

Galungan and Kuningan Day in Bali is a celebration held by Balinese Hindu every 6months. Generally Galungan and Kuningan Day will be celebrated for 3days, such as: ‘Penampahan’ Day, Galungan or Kuningan Day and followed by ‘Manis’ Galungan or Kuningan day. ‘Penampahan’ Day, Balinese Hindu will make ‘Lawar’ Bali Traditional Food which is made for the ceremony preparation. On the Galungan or Kuningan day it self, Balinese Hindu will go to the temple and do the worship to the God. The next day will be the ‘Manis’ Galungan or Kuningan day, this day is the day for family gathering and time to relax while having the food and fruit.

Playing Barong

During the Galungan and Kuningan day, Balinese Hindu will make ‘Penjor’ which is made from bamboo decorated by coconut leaf (‘Janur’, ‘Ambu’, etc). The penjor will be placed in front of the gate as you can see a long the street in Bali during the Galungan and Kuningan day. The children will play ‘Barong’ as well to entertain the society and tourists who are traveling in Bali Island.

Ubud travel tips are some short explanations about traveling to Ubud, Bali. Ubud is a village in Bali which has unique arts, traditions and cultures. Ubud owns beautiful landscape as one attraction of this village, the rice field is the most incredible one in Bali. It makes Ubud as a right tourist destination for travelers who want to spend their vacation in Bali.

Ubud is located in the middle of Bali island, it is just about 1hour drive from Ngurah Rai Airport Denpasar. Ubud has tropical climate with temperature around 28^oC. Bali population is around 2,5million people, Ubud local people are Balinese Hindu who really pays many attentions to their traditions and cultures. It can be seen in many religious temple ceremonies or daily religious activities in their own house.

• Tips for cheap flight booking
  Book the night flight ticket, the night flight ticket is cheaper instead of day flight ticket. Do not book flight ticket on high season because the price will be higher instead of Low Season. The ticket’s price on public holiday, Saturday and Sunday is expensive instead of normal day.
• How to find cheap accommodation in Ubud
  Ubud provides many Hotels and Villas to support the tourism facilities in this village, from Luxury expensive places to low budget places. Ubud has many budget places to stay, guest houses in Ubud is easy to find. Teba House is one of budget place to stay in Ubud, you can book a roomand arrange airport transfer. The rates are assigned very competitive with the best and friendly service from entire staff.
• What to bring?
  Ubud has unique traditions and cultures with daily religious Hinduism activities. You have to wear Bali Traditional Cloths (Sarong + Scarf) to enter a Hindu Bali temple or you could wear long pants and not short arms cloths, you will be allowed to enter a Hindu Bali temple. Ubud has tropical climate with temperature around 28^oC. Short pants and T-shirt will be suitable as well.
• Bali Wet Season
  Bali island has two seasons, such as: dry and wet season. Please provide yourself with rain coat or simple umbrella to protect your self from rain.
• Mosquito
  Mosquito is an animal that can spread diseases, tropical area like Bali has many mosquitoes. Provide your self with liquid or lotion to protect you from bites of mosquitoes and other insects.
