Legong Dance

Legong Dance is a Classic Balinese Dance has a complex wealth movement which is attached with traditional instrument of Bali. Originally Legong is formed by two words; ‘leg’ and ‘gong’.
‘Leg’ means elastic or flexible, slow motion of dance movement. ‘Gong’ it self means gamelan (Bali Traditional Instrument), ‘leg’ combines with ‘gong’ becoming a word of Legong which means an elastic dance movement which is attached with traditional instrument ‘gamelan’. The phrase of Legong Kraton is prosperity of Legong Dance. Usually Legong Dance is brought by two female dancers or more, sometimes character of ‘condong’ is played as starter this performance but sometimes Legong Dance performed without ‘condong’ character. Characteristic of Legong Dance is traditional hand fan (kipas) which is used by the dancers on their performance. Gamelan Semar Pagulingan is the gamelan which is used to accompany Legong Dance Performance.

Small place but has two floors building and nice environment, Jln. Hanoman, Padangtegal.

India Cuisine

Pundi-Pundi
New Open, It is a fine restaurant with rice field view and Lotus Pond. Jalan Hanoman, Padangtegal.

Travelers on tight budget can find many of warung (street stalls) along Sugriwa Street and Hanoman Street, standard Indonesia food will cost around 10.000Rp to 15,000Rp. The meals that you can have at warung are nasi goreng, nasi campur, mie goreng, ayam goreng, etc. All the meals in Warung are allowed to take away so you also can enjoy your meals at the Hotel. No. 978520 Your meals will deliver immediately to you by their staff.

Bars are not many in Ubud, usually you can enter the bars for free without an entrance ticket. Discounted drinks can be had by checking the notice boards outside bars or cafés along the street. Life music is not as hard as in Kuta area, Jazz and Reggae are mostly played by the band as a life music performance.

Putra Bar
It is a reggae bar, live music jam session Monday to Saturday, 9 – 11 pm. Monkey Forest Road, Padangtegal.

Jazz Café
It has a relax atmosphere, good food and live jazz performance. It is located in East part of Ubud, Jalan Sukma 2, Tebesaya.
